Whole Grain Health Muffins,Hi! I was thinking about doing this recipe, but I don’t like apples in my desserts. What would be a good substitute for the apples? Aside from applesauce. Thanks :),Absolutely amazing muffins. I don’t bake at all but I nailed this recipe. Instead of raisins I added a cup or so of mixed nuts. Some were ground nuts, some were crushed and some were whole. I also used large oats and grated the apple. The recipe works well to keep the plumbing flowing too. I doubled this recipe and somehow I got 34 muffins. I’ve already decided I will be making more of these to bring to work instead of buying from Tim Horton’s. This recipe will be kept! Thank you!
