Old World Style Italian Turkey Meatballs, These are soft, flavorful cheesy meatballs., I have never seen a meatball recipe with oil in it. What is the purpose of the oil? Is it because turkey is a leaner meat?, I followed the instructions to the tee and these came out delicious. I did not precook them in the oven. I was short on time so I took 2 jars of Brailla Tomato and Basil sauce and put into the crock pot starting on high. While crock pot was starting to heat sauce, I made the meatballs. I put all the meatballs into the crock pot with the sauce. Cooked on high for about 2 hours until I saw sauce bubbling then turned crock pot down to low for about an hour and a half. My Italian husband liked them a lot. The only thing I would like to see on this site is the serving size under the nutrition label needs to be put into cups, ounces, tablespoons etc…instead of grams.
