Pear-Pecan Appetizers, An easy but elegant addition to a fruit or cheese board From Southern Living , This is a very nice combination Easy to make , This was a hit at our annual Autumn/Pumpkin Carving Party They lasted about 5 minutes tops! used crisp Bartlett pears and doubled the bleu cheese, (family LOVES bleu cheese ) The pears were rather large, so I spread the cheese mixture generously on one side, then dipped into toasted pecan chips, not chopped very fine, but just a nice dice We had 16 people, so used 3 pears, but had four I had some cheese mixture left over but ran out of nuts, so maybe increase the chopped toasted nuts to 1 cup The combined flavors of the fruit, the cheese and the toasted nuts was wonderful! Everyone raved, and this recipe is a definite keeper! Thanks, LorenLou I will make this again and again!
