Pineapple Pork Roast

Features:
    Cuisine:

I make a lot of slow cooker tenderloins, I followed the recipe and this turned out terrible. I don't know if my cooker was running hot or I cooked it for too long, but it had a burnt taste, the pineapple was bitter, the roast was dry, and I just quit on the au jus because it tasted so bad. There's a similar recipe on here that tosses out the burnt pineapple at 5 hours and refills with fresh pineapple and green peppers for the last two to three hours. I'm going to try that one next time. http://www.food.com/recipe/pineapple-pork-tenderloin-70305

Pineapple Pork Roast,A pork roast with pineapple and spices, cooked in the crockpot.,I make a lot of slow cooker tenderloins, I followed the recipe and this turned out terrible. I don’t know if my cooker was running hot or I cooked it for too long, but it had a burnt taste, the pineapple was bitter, the roast was dry, and I just quit on the au jus because it tasted so bad. There’s a similar recipe on here that tosses out the burnt pineapple at 5 hours and refills with fresh pineapple and green peppers for the last two to three hours. I’m going to try that one next time. great; haven’t made this one yet, but will do so soon. This is for Chef # 762139: Maybe this will help your confusion over the directions. Step 2: the flour and water are used in step 8. Everything else is used in step 2. Step 5 : This says to drain & reserve the liquid, meaning the roast & pineapple is first removed as in step 4. You may have to strain out the pineapple in a mesh strainer when you do step 5. Set the pineapple aside with the roast. Pour the liquid into a 2 cup measuring cup. Step 6: Put the roast & pineapple back into the crockpot. Step 7: Note how much liquid is in the measuring cup and add enough water to reach the 1 3/4 cup mark on the measuring cup. Step 8: Now take 1/4 cup water from the faucet and the 2 Tablespoons of flour & blend in the saucepan as directed in step 8. Step 9: Use the water & pineapple juice mixture & stir into the flour/water mixture in the saucepan. Then follow steps 10 through 12. Hope this helps.
