Pooris (Fried Indian Bread),I love all breads I’ve had from India and this is one of them. This is a basic recipe for the fried Indian bread, Pooris. Another recipe I got from the Micheff Sisters. Hope you enjoy it!,is this the bread that puffs up when cooking and u can stuff it after cooking ?,This bread had a nice soft texture and good plain bread taste, which would be perfect with any Indian meal. I had expected the dough to be more of a soft but kneadable one, which mine wasnt. It was super liquid and I couldnt roll it out at all. I simply dropped it into the frying pan and that seemed to work alright as I did end up with pancake like shapes of bread. :)All in all I would make this again as it is easy and quick, but I think Id reduce the liquid and maybe add some herbs to the dough.THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing this recipe here with us, enjolinfam.Made and reviewed for Aussie/NZ Recipe Swap February 2011.
