Prunes in Bacon, It couldn’t be easier, but they are always a party hit , I made these for a speakeasy party I had as they seemed so fancy yet were so simple and took such little time They were pretty good, and were great for hosting a party as they take such little preparation!, A wonderful appetizer that always goes over well!! I first tried these nearly 20 years ago ~ I went crazy for them at the time, and was thrilled to find this recipe!! (I couldn’t remember the baking temp or time ) Just a couple of tips: 1 I’d use leaner bacon because the fattier stuff is tough to roll around the prunes plus it doesn’t bake as nicely 2 Cut the regular strip of bacon in half, then fold the shorter strip in half LENGTHWISE before rolling it around a prune and spearing it with the toothpick Holds the shape better, easier to roll 3 They’re definitely tastier when they’ve cooled down a bit (not sure why, just trust me, they’re nicer when cooled off a bit) Thank you so much for posting this recipe!
