Quick And Easy French Toast

Features:
    Cuisine:

I made French Toast this morning and it was delicious! I left two slices of bread in the frige last night unwrapped so they would dry out some. The recipe was just right for 2 slices of bread. I followed the recipe exactly except for substituting one teaspoon of powdered sugar for the cinnamon in the egg mix. I cooked them in butter in a non-stick skillet at medium and had no trouble with scorched butter. I wish I had taken a picture as they looked so perfect. I had been hungry for French Toast for quite some time and recently had some in a local eatery for $6 which was nowhere near this good. And to think I made mine for about 50 cents with less effort than getting in my car and driving to the diner. I heartily recommend this recipe. P.S. used REAL maple syrup.
