Quick Sour Cream Coffee Cake,From the Joy of Cooking. I know there are lots of sour cream coffee cakes out there, but this one is slightly different in that there is no butter in the batter. This goes together very quickly, just like the name says, and when it is warm, the texture is just wonderful.,Ive used this recipe for years and cant believe Ive not reviewed it!!! This is a simple yet delicious coffee cake!! This is the one you whip up at the last minute when you find out you need to serve a delicious treat for pop in guests!!! But by all means whip one up at any time you want something special to share with DH just because or want to treat the neighbor! We had a very old friend that was delighted when Id pop in with this cake in tow. So if you want a delicious treat thats easy peasy to make yet delicious, try this one! You simply cant go wrong!!!,Still eating my first piece, warm from the oven! Love it. Very different texture, must be the sour cream. used an 8″ sq pan, and it took a good 45 min to cook. I would do that again next time as the height of the Cake was perfect. I reduced the sugar in topping to 4 tbl (demarra), and to 3/4c in the Cake. I added almost 1 tsp of cinnamon instead of 1/2 tsp, and almost 1/2c toasted pecans to the streusel topping. Will definitely make again!
