Raisin Bran Muffins That Work, What if you can’t find wheat bran? Some here have mentioned cereals? how would that work? do you crush the cereal??, Great base recipe! I love the idea of bran muffins but recipes have always yielded short, dense and rubbery and often dry muffins This recipe, however, is a gem! Like others I did substitute 2 mashed bananas for all but 1T of the oil and used bran flakes and added cinnamon Muffins baked to perfection in exactly 20 minutes in my oven, and were moist, richly flavored, tall and lovely I can imagine that tiny tweaks could be made for flavor variety and still result in a perfect muffin Thank you so much, Lennie, for a fantastic recipe
