Raisin Oatmeal With Spices

    I had just a couple minor tweaks...added a little extra vanilla, and instead of putting the brown sugar on top I stirred it into the oatmeal along with the spices so it would all melt together. Next time I think I may cut the nutmeg back just a little, as I thought it was kind of strong. Very good, though, and FILLING.

    Raisin Oatmeal with Spices,A tasty way to make your own spiced raisin oatmeal!,I had just a couple minor tweaks…added a little extra vanilla, and instead of putting the brown sugar on top I stirred it into the oatmeal along with the spices so it would all melt together. Next time I think I may cut the nutmeg back just a little, as I thought it was kind of strong. Very good, though, and FILLING.,Making it right now and the little taste I had was delicious! It has the perfect amount of sweetness and spice. I’m using old fashioned rolled oats (not quick oats), so I had to add more water to soften them. I also added a T of unsalted butter for creaminess. When I have it tomorrow morning, I will wake it up with some milk.??

    Cook Oats as Directed on Box, but Mix the Raisins and Salt Into the Oats.

    Remove from Heat on Stove or from Microwave and Add Vanilla, Cinnamon and Nutmeg.

    Sprinkle Each Bowl With Brown Sugar.
