Rice Cooker Spanish Rice

Features:
    Cuisine:

To the 2 cups of dry white rice, used garlic & onion powder (all i had), the cumin, the chili, and then mixed the dry ingredient before put in cooker. In a two cup container i added a can of rotel tomatoes, the tomato sauce, the salsa and my 1 cup of water , (my liquid ingredients came out to a little over 2 cups, so that's my usual rice to water ratio). I did add in one half a chopped jalapeno, because here in Texas we like our Mexican rice spicy. What i should have done was stir everything together BEFORE i added to rice cooker. I also had to add in 1/2 cup of water and run 1/2 halfway again because my rice didnt get quite soft enough. Definitely will make again, and will increase the jalapeno and chili next time.

Rice Cooker Spanish Rice, This is an easy no mess Spanish rice that is a great addition to any Mexican meal! Thanks for the review Chef #792090, I have edited my recipe according to your recommendations , To the 2 cups of dry white rice, used garlic & onion powder (all i had), the cumin, the chili, and then mixed the dry ingredient before put in cooker In a two cup container i added a can of rotel tomatoes, the tomato sauce, the salsa and my 1 cup of water , (my liquid ingredients came out to a little over 2 cups, so that’s my usual rice to water ratio) I did add in one half a chopped jalapeno, because here in Texas we like our Mexican rice spicy What i should have done was stir everything together BEFORE i added to rice cooker I also had to add in 1/2 cup of water and run 1/2 halfway again because my rice didnt get quite soft enough Definitely will make again, and will increase the jalapeno and chili next time , Flavor was very nice I added mild salsa and 1/2 can of green chilis, and it came out flavorful, but not hot spicy I think I had too much liquid as mine came out as mush I wash my rice beforehand, so I suspect that is the difference Anyone rinse rice and have recommendations?
