    Root Beer BBQ Sauce, This was a delightful switch from my normal bbq sauce The flavor is a bit different, but different in a great way The leftover sauce can be stored in the fridge to use later Shock your friends and let them try to guess that secret ingredient !, 2T of freshly squeezed lemon juice, and 1/4c of yellow mustard are the correct amount in the original recipe , This recipe is a copy from an old publication I first saw back in 2002 I don’t quite remember which publication But the recipe has two errors in it: 1 2T of freshly squeezed lemon juice 2 1/4c of yellow mustard, not the 1/2c called for here Everyone loves this with my smoked pulled pork sandwiches The pork just soaks up the BBQ sauce Absolutely a hit and would always recommend this

    Reduce the Root Beer to 1 Cup Over Medium Heat in a Large Saucepan -- This Takes About One Hour.

    Add the Apple Cider Vinegar, Ketchup, Yellow Mustard, Lemon Juice, Worcestershire Sauce, Tabasco, Salt and Pepper.

    Stir Well and Simmer For Twenty Minutes.

    Finish the Sauce by Whisking in the Cold Butter For Extra Body and Flavor.
