Trying to replicate a beloved recipe from my childhood … actually codfish cakes from Kresge’s five & dime. Maybe I soaked the fish too long, and then I didn’t taste it when I was flaking it, but the finished balls were totally tasteless (but quite lovely). I dumped a bunch of Old Bay on them while they were still hot, but they are not going to the potluck tonight … I’ll have them for my lunches … since this is the first time I worked with salt cod, I’m sure this was “operator error.”,can you feeze these

Soak Cod Fish in Water, Preferably Overnight Then Boil For 1/2 Hour. Meanwhile Peel and Dice Potatoes; Boil For 20 Minutes. When Cool Mash Coarsely. |
