Sika Sto Fourno (Baked Figs With Red Wine),Fig trees are an intrinsic part of the Greek landscape. Ripe figs are always plentiful in the summer. They’re mostly eaten raw, sun-dried or made into sweets and jams. This is a very simple recipe from Modern Greek.,Delicious and very easy. I felt it needed a little touch of ‘spice’ and did just the barest sprinkling of cinnamon. Served with greek yoghurt and the barest drizzle of thyme honey.,Easy and so tasty! Served the figs with low-fat ice cream.
