Slow Cooker Lasagna,I have not tried this yet but it sounds good and easy.,Hi, does anybody know if I could use thin strips of zucchini instead of lasagna noodles, to make it lower carb? Thank-you!,I made this today with a few tweaks because I can’t leave anything alone. I sauteed a chopped onion and 5 cloves of garlic with the hamburger, then added 8 oz of chopped mushrooms. To the ricotta I added 2 beaten eggs, some leftover frozen spinach and a half cup of red wine. To the pasta sauce I added 8 oz of tomato sauce and a scant tablespoon of Italian seasoning. used 10 oven ready lasagne noodles because that’s what I had. I made 3 layers–noodles, meat, sauce, ricotta and mozzarella–and topped it off with some parmesan shreds. It cooked fast, probably because of the noodles. Everything fit comfortably in a 5-quart slow cooker. Perfect. No more Stouffer’s for me.
