Directions
Szechuan Green Beans With Ground Pork, This is a bit spicy so you may want to decrease the pepper flakes and add more at the end for taste. I made this for a pot-luck Chinese dinner that is why the serving size is for 8. Can be cut in half. Delicious over Chinese white rice., Absolutely delicious! I had 1 1/2 lbs. of ground pork, so I doubled the sauce. It was very spicy, which we enjoyed. I added a zucchini and onion, simply because I had some that needed to be used up. Definitely good additions. Instead of steaming the green beans first, I took the advice of another commenter and added them in after the pork was cooked. I placed the lid on the pan and allowed the beans to steam for 4-5 minutes, and then added the sauce. It was perfect., Not what I was expecting, and too sweet for me.
