    great bread. use less salt (3 tsp.) and i bake it in loaf pans. use coconut oil instead of shortening. i also took advice from another reviewer and baked the loaves at 350 instead of 375. i bake all four loaves at once and froze three. they thaw nicely and you can't tell that it isn't fresh bread.thanks for the recipe.*also* i substitute honey for the sugar and add flaxseed, wheat germ and chia seeds in place of some of the flour - all for a healthier loaf. used whole wheat flour and the bread comes out perfectly every time.

    Remove 1 Cup Starter and Keep in Fridge For the Next Time You Wish to Make 4 Loaves.

    Add Remaining Ingredients in the Order Listed.

    Use Only Enough Flour to Make the Dough Easy to Handle.

    Knead on Floured Surface Until the Dough Is Smooth and Elastic.

    Let Rise in a Greased Bowl, Keep in a Warm Place, Cover It, Until About Doubled. Knead Again and Divide Into 4 Equal Parts.

    Shape Each Loaf Into a 9" Round & Place in 9" Greased Cake Pans.

    Let Rise Again.

    Bake in 375f Oven For Approx 45 Minutes or Until Done (loaf Sounds Hollow When You Tap on It and It Should Be Golden Brown).
