Sugar Cookie Frosting,This is the frosting I like to use for my soft sugar cookies, “Recipe#286412”. It uses heavy whipping cream and I like to add green or red food coloring to it when I make the cookies for Christmas. It should make enough to frost about 4-5 dozen cookies, depending on how thick of layer you use on each cookie and how big the cookies are. Update: 12/21/2009: I have changed the recipe to increase the amount of whipping cream. I agree with the other reviewer that more is needed but be sure to add the whipping cream gradually and then add the rest if needed.,Frosting dreams come true ! I Doubled , ((I always use salted butter)) using a 7.5 cup bag of powdered sugar At least 1/2 cup whipping cream plus a splash 3 tsp high quality vanilla And 1/4 teaspoon almond ext, just enough Not to notice it – but pairs excellent if you use just a tiny bit I am amazed – this is the perfect cookie frosting perfect anything frosting this is – the oh my god wedding cake frosting Die and go to heaven Ill just have a spoon of that You can absolutely use milk , whole is always better but the ratio / of sugar butter flavor is just the best,I made a double batch of this frosting the morning of our cookie decorating party and put it in frosting bags. I filled the bags by putting them in a glass with the top opening folded over the top of the glass, then twisted the top and secured it with a clothespin. I cut the tip of the bag to let the air out then folded the remaining plastic up and taped it to the bag. Left them in the fridge for about 6 hours, then took them out a couple hours before using them, kneeded the bags a little and it was perfect. I did use slightly more than 1/4 c of HWC as mentioned by others.
