Tacos from Scratch (Way Better Than a Packet and Just As Easy!),Those “taco seasoning” packets are usually so high in sodium and contain all kinds of unecessary junk. Give this one a try. You can adjust the seasoning to your liking, add onions when you brown the beef or not, whatever you like. I like to add fresh jalapenos when I add the sauce. Consider this a base recipe. Enjoy!,I cooked these for a friend who is a wizard in the Kitchen and I had to come back to get a copy for her . She couldn’t believe how good they were.,This was the first time I’ve tried a taco meat recipe cooked with tomato sauce. I did try to make it as written, but I didn’t think I had coriander. used dried 2 tsp cilantro instead, then I realized I actually did have coriander. I added maybe 1/2 tsp, maybe a tad more than that. I eyeballed that part. Even with my mishap, this turned out great. I love the flavors, perfect amounts of cumin and chili powder in my opinion. Great recipe! I’m thinking this would make great taco burgers!
