3 cloves garlic, minced
salt and pepper
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup ketchup
1 - 2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce

    This is great. Easily worth ten stars. I did cut the amount of brown sugar in half, otherwise didn't change a thing. Could hardly wait for it to be done. Course I had to have a taste every time I stirred it - you stir every 15 minutes right? I'm surprised there was any left at the end of two hours. Thanks Dibs for a great recipe.

    Southern Barbecued Bean Casserole, This is a great recipe that you can double or tripple with no problems Also as a barbecue side it leaves you free to make your other dishes as it slow cooks for 2 hours , This is great Easily worth ten stars I did cut the amount of brown sugar in half, otherwise didn’t change a thing Could hardly wait for it to be done Course I had to have a taste every time I stirred it – you stir every 15 minutes right? I’m surprised there was any left at the end of two hours Thanks Dibs for a great recipe , We really enjoyed this recipe this summer I solved the over-sweet issue by using plain great northern beans, rather than the Bush’s PERFECT fit! Also, you might want to edit the recipe to include what size can of beans to use It went perfectly with Southern Fried chicken and homemade potato salad, Thanks!

    Brown the First 4 Ingredients-Drain.

    Mix in Remaining Ingredients, Bring to a Low Boil and Reduce Heat to Simmer and Cook on Top of the Stove For 5 Min-Stirring Often.

    Transfer to a Casserole Dish and Bake at 325 Degrees For 2 Hours Stirring Every 30 Min.
