Blueberry Apple Crisp

Features:
    Cuisine:

Mmmm-mmm, SO good. I had some granny smith apples and blueberries that were "meh" (not very sweet and a little mealy), but I didn't want to waste them, so I decided to make this crumble. I had about twice as many apples as the recipe called for, so I just doubled the whole recipe. I didn't peel them, just sliced them thin. My berries were a mixture of fresh blueberries and frozen mixed berries. Next time I might use less berries than apples instead of equal amounts. I also added some brown sugar to the fruit. Other improvisations: I melted the margarine instead of cutting it in (easier), used less nutmeg and way more oatmeal (actually muesli, since it's what I had on hand), and baked it in a 9x13 pan. Highly recommend this recipe, and getting creative with it to fit your needs.

We ate it warm with a dollop of vanilla flavored Greek yogurt. Everyone gobbled it up. This is a keeper. Ty, Kim127.
