    My cake looked like a chocolate cake am wondering if it's because I used less beets. Used about 1 cup and a half. Also used less sugar and less oil. I still find that I needed to use less sugar. But flavour was good. What about addinadding ginger and nutmeg? Am thinking it might boost the flavour.

    Heat oven to 350 °, grease and flour 13x9 baking pan.
