Famous Oatmeal Cookies

So disappointed in this cookie recipe. Expectations were high as 28 people gave it 5 stars. I second guessed adding the water & I wished I had not added the water. Fortunately I bake 1 cookie when trying a new recipe so added more flour to compensate. Then saw salt was optional, so didn't add on it. Definitely needed the salt.

Famous Oatmeal Cookies,Oatmeal cookies are my BF’s favorite, so I’ve tried LOTS of different recipes. This is the BEST one!!! I found it online somewhere–these are sort of crunchy, not cakey at all, and not overly sweet. YUM!,So disappointed in this cookie recipe. Expectations were high as 28 people gave it 5 stars. I second guessed adding the water & I wished I had not added the water. Fortunately I bake 1 cookie when trying a new recipe so added more flour to compensate. I tweaked them quite a bit because I am a little crazy like that and? I made it just like it said but used melted coconut oil added 2 tablespoons of molasses, 2 tsp. Cinnamon 1/4 tsp. Nutmeg and an extra tsp of vanilla because I love real vanilla. I also made them into bar cookies and out them in a 9×13 cake pan and baked them for about 35 to 40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. My husband told me they were the best oatmeal raisin bar cookies I have ever made! Thats awesome because I have made a lot of them in my lifetime!
