This is a great way to make mashed potatoes without heating up the kitchen when it is hot outside.,Nothing to drain. And I dont heat up the liquids, just put in milk, butter and salt and pepper. Only way to make mashed potatoes,I left the skin on the potatoes and added garlic salt rather than regular salt. Otherwise followed the same directions. They turned out great. So easy!
