Oven-Fried Buttermilk Chicken

Features:
    Cuisine:

The recipe says the chicken can be baked or fried. They gave us the bake time, what would be the fry time? And what degree should we get the oil up to and what is the best oil to use? Canola? Vegetable? or doesn't it matter? Thank you! I cannot wait to try this one. I will let you know how it all turns out. I am thinking of baking 1/2 the chicken and frying the other 1/2.

Oven-Fried Buttermilk Chicken, Serve with coleslaw, hot biscuits and honey, if desired , The recipe says the chicken can be baked or fried They gave us the bake time, what would be the fry time? I cannot wait to try this one I will let you know how it all turns out I am thinking of baking 1/2 the chicken and frying the other 1/2 , I did this your way with the butter melted in the pan, but this step isn’t necessary I normally soak my pieces of chicken in a seasoned buttermilk/egg mixture for several hours and then dredge in seasoned flour, pan fry to sear and then place on a cooking rack over a foil lined baking sheet and bake at 400 until done Comes out like regular pan fried chicken without the mess on the stove top
