    Pumpkin Bars(Paula Deen),Another recipe that I just have to try but need to post to save. This looks and sounds like a great alternative to traditional pumpkin pie.,I am out of vanilla for the frosting will it make a difference,I ate this dessert at my friend’s house for the first time and LOVED it. In fact, my husband said “I am not going to eat any dessert and he asked for seconds. Like my friend, when I made it myself, used 1/2 cup of oil and 1/2 cup of apple sauce to save some calories.

    Preheat the Oven to 350f.

    Using an Electric Mixer at Medium Speed, Combine the Eggs, Sugar, Oil and Pumpkin Until Light and Fluffy.

    Stir Together the Flour, Baking Powder, Cinnamon, Salt and Baking Soda.

    Add the Dry Ingredients to the Pumpkin Mixture and Mix at Low Speed Until Thoroughly Combined and the Batter Is Smooth.

    Spread the Batter Into a Greased 13 by 10-Inch Baking Pan.

    to Make the Icing: Combine the Cream Cheese and Butter in a Medium Bowl With an Electric Mixer Until Smooth.
